Bio:   After homeschooling my own child with learning disabilities, and recognizing the need for more resources to help students in need, I decided to become an educational therapist. I returned to school in 2018 and received my degree in Special Education. I continued on to complete Level 1 NILD Educational Therapist training and opened my business, Divergent Learning. I have since worked with students in grades 3-11 and seen the NILD program make an impact in their lives. I am also a certified Mediator in FIE and work with students ages 10 to 18 to increase cognitive modifiability. My goal is to empower students with not just educational skills, but with self confidence that they carry with them throughout their lives.

Bio:   After ten years of homeschooling my children, I joined the Pearl Center for Learning in August 2023 as a Math Aide, a math tutor, and a substitute teacher. In August 2024, I became certified as a Level 1 NILD Educational Therapist. In the past year, I have also become certified in TEACH and FIE Enrichment. Currently, I provide NILD educational therapy to 7 students, am the middle school math teacher, and am the elementary social studies/science teacher at Pearl. Outside of Pearl, I also serve as a pre-teen small group leader at my church. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, three children, and two dogs.

Bio:   The 2025- 2026 school year will be my 28th year as an educator. I was a teacher and held leadership roles for 24 years in Katy ISD and CyFair ISD. It will be my fourth year at Cypress Christian School as an educational therapist. I am incredibly honored that God led me to CCS. I know that education is a ministry, and I love doing God’s work at our amazing school. As a family, we love to be a part of our church family, volunteer together, be outdoors in nature doing all types of activities & exercise, and we all love to read. I have also volunteered for animal shelters, rescues, and animal welfare organizations for close to 3 decades. Being an advocate for children and animals is my passion. I have many Bible scriptures that I lean on at different moments in my life. However, one I recite and hold in my heart every day is Psalm 19:14, “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Oh Lord, my Rock and My Redeemer.” These also have given me peace. I have been through some health struggles this school year, and the steadfast love of the Lord has carried me through. 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in all situations, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Psalm 121:1-8 I will lift mine eyes to the hills from where comes my help.
