Bio: Teaching my children to read at ages 4 and 5 went smoothly as I followed the instructions in a recommended book. It wasn't until a friend of mine asked me to tutor her daughter in reading and learning skills that I realized how challenging it can be to develop literacy skills. None of the things that worked for my children worked for her. As time passed, I realized that many children were falling through the cracks and not learning to read. This led me to find the National Institute of Learning Development. After homeschooling and working in the public schools for a time, I decided to return to college to pursue a Master's degree in Exceptional Student Education and Educational Therapy at Southeastern University. I also earned a Certificate of Dyslexia Education. For the past 8 years, I have been on a journey to make reading and learning skills available to all. I have set up my private practice and see students in the Hamburg area of Lexington, KY. My office is located at the intersection of I-64 and I-75. I can lighten your load and teach skills and strategies for learning so your child can reach their highest potential.
Bio: I am a School Psychologist (NCSP) and Professionally Certified Educational Therapist (PCET) with FIE Standard 3 Mediator Training and Tele-therapy Licensure. I have a Masters of Science in Applied Psychology with an Educational Specialist in School Psychology. I look forward to not only helping families with the evaluation/diagnosing process, but also providing essential interventions to help students become independent learners.
