Bio: Over the last twelve years Debbie has facilitated the acquisition of hope, skills and confidence for struggling learners ages six through eighteen through NILD Educational Therapy. An elementary school teacher originally, Debbie expanded her expertise to provide therapy to missionary children in France and Germany and then to homeschool, public and Christian school students in the U.S. She has four kids of her own and understands the deep desire a parent has for their child to be a successful life learner.
Bio: I am a licensed educational therapist with over 25 years of experience helping students in various settings. What I love most about this work is watching children transform from frustrated learners into confident, capable students who understand how their own minds work. Using evidence-based methods from my advanced training in Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment (Levels 1-3) and NILD Educational Therapy, I address the root causes of learning difficulties—strengthening cognitive skills like memory, attention, problem-solving, and processing that make all learning easier. Whether your child struggles with reading, has been diagnosed with a learning difference, or simply isn't reaching their potential, educational therapy can help. I work with students both in-person and online, providing the flexibility families need.
Bio: As a mom with a kid with learning disablities I have seen how their educational therapists have helped them through academics and becoming a life long learner. Since I saw the difference I decided to become an educational therapist and teacher at the Joshua Institute. I love helping my students make those connections that have eluded them for a long time.
