Bio: It has been a blessing to be involved with NILD for the past 27 years. I have seen many lives changed and blossom over the years in those who have been diligent in following through with Educational Therapy. Other academic duties in which I participate includes: Homeschool Evaluator for 30+ years; Testing Coordinator for Great Commission Schools in Altoona, Pa; PSAT administrator/proctor; Title I contact for the same school; Child Find coordinator for the same school.
Bio: Jessica holds the position of Educational Therapist at a private Christian elementary school. She applies her education from the National Institute of Learning Development (NILD) and her academic qualifications to enhance students' cognitive, perceptual, emotional, and academic competencies. Her principal aim is to facilitate the development of independent learning skills among students with learning differences. Although she may not possess extensive experience, her background as a student who encountered learning differences equips her with a unique perspective on these challenges. Jessica is dedicated to advocating for children with learning differences and disabilities, leveraging her personal experiences and professional knowledge to support their educational needs. Additionally, she presents information on learning difficulties and Christian education to teaching staff. https://www.coastlinechristian.org/
Bio: My name is Sabrina Joiner, and I have a background in psychology, school psychology, and education. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Master's degrees in School Psychology and Human Resources Management. Throughout my career, I have worked with students and families in educational settings, supporting academic growth, learning differences, and individualized educational planning. My experiences as an academic coach, homeschool consultant, and parent have deepened my passion for helping students develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning. I am pursuing NILD Educational Therapy training because I believe in addressing the underlying cognitive processes that impact learning, rather than simply accommodating weaknesses. I am excited to continue growing professionally and to equip families with effective, research-based tools that help students reach their God-given potential. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy homeschooling my daughters, supporting homeschool families, and developing educational resources through Woven Minds Education.
