Bio: My husband and I have lived in the Gadsden area for over twenty years. I have always homeschooled our children, and I thoroughly enjoy teaching and helping children make connections. During my years as an educator, I have seen firsthand that not all students learn and process the same. I strive to meet my students where they are while giving them the tools to propel them forward as they learn and grow.
Bio: I am an educator with 21 years of experience in the field of education. I have taught all grades in the classroom K-5. I have served in administration as well - providing oversight for teachers and students. I have a Master's in Education from Regent University and am completing my doctoral dissertation with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction from Regent University as well. I am a Level 1 NILD Educational Therapist , serving students in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. This is my 4th year serving as an Educational Therapist. It has become such a blessing to me, and I love to see my students push through learning challenges and become confident in the classroom! My husband and I live in Chesapeake VA. We are the proud proud parents of a Merchant Marine (my son ), a spunky and intelligent daughter, and a cute, adorable fur baby!
Bio: I have been a licensed therapist with NILD for 5 years and received my PCET licensure in 2023. Currently, I work in a private school offering Educational Therapy, Reading Groups, and Executive Functioning Coaching. I also have a private practice, Advokate Learning, that offers teletherapy services for grades 3rd-12th.
Bio: This is my first year as a Level 1 Educational Therapist, and I’m excited to bring my background in special education and 11 years of teaching experience in homeschooling, public schools, and private schools into this new role. I’m passionate about helping students become confident, independent learners by uncovering their unique strengths and addressing areas of weakness through research-based NILD techniques. It is a privilege to provide individualized therapy that equip students with the skills they need to grow academically and personally. Most importantly, I’m passionate about helping every child recognize their God-given potential and providing the support they need to fulfill the plans God has for their lives. Jeremiah 29:11
Bio: I am a licensed NILD Educational Therapist with training also in Feuerstein Cognitive Enrichment and Equipping Minds programs. Through cognitive development activities and structured literacy, I desire to help students increase their learning potential and grow into independent learners, enabling them to achieve academic success they never thought possible. I have 25 years of experience in education, both in the classroom and in homeschooling my five children through high school.
