About Your Speaker:
Bethany Baird - BS, PCET
Bethany brings over 20 years of experience as a homeschooling mom to five children. She has taught co-op and community classes in early learning, science, art, photography, nutrition, and exercise. Bethany went back to school for graduate-level NILD courses when one of her children was diagnosed with dyslexia. She worked as an Educational Therapist at The Joshua Institute in Boise, Idaho, before launching her own practice and transitioning to full-time teletherapy. Bethany graduated from Gordon College in Massachusetts with a degree in exercise physiology/kinesiology with added courses emphasizing psychology and business. Bethany holds a degree in exercise physiology/kinesiology from Gordon College in Massachusetts, with additional coursework in psychology and business. Before becoming an educational therapist, she built a diverse career as an exercise physiologist, an athletic director at a country club, and a commercial photography business owner. She has taken pride in living out the phrase “being a lifelong learner” and passing on the love of constantly learning new things to her children and every student she works with. Bethany is a Professionally Certified Educational Therapist working remotely in the mountains of Boise, Idaho, or wherever in the world her laptop is currently located
