Educator: Educational Therapist / Coach

Meridian, Idaho

Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator to join our team. As a coach, you will meet with students individually, dynamically mentoring and academically intervening on their behalf as part of the student's academic team. You will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students, fostering a positive learning environment, encouraging students to think at a higher level by making a difference in the lives of children who struggle to learn.

Professional training through Joshua Institute (joshuainstitute.org) in partnership with the National Institute of Learning Development (NILD.org) will assist you in transforming education for students with learning disabilities. Our belief is each child is perfectly and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and through encouragement (Joshua 2:9), students can reach their full potential through redemptive teaching (Romans 12:2).

Responsibilities:
*Develop a Student Success Plan based on formal testing

*Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience
*Develop and implement engaging 60-minute or 80-minute lesson plans 2x weekly that

adhere to the NILD guidelines
*Create a supportive and redemptive individual learning relationship
*Assess student's progress and provide regular parent communication

*Assess Student's progress and provide constructive feedback

*Maintain anecdotal notes

*Administering Informal and Formal assessments

*Update mid-year review and write the Annual Report
*Stay updated on educational best practices including continuing education requirements

*Participate in monthly (Friday) professional development opportunities to continuously

improve therapy skills

*Professional dress and conduct

Requirements:
*Bachelor's degree required
