Level I Courses
Level 1 is the first step toward becoming a NILD Educational Therapist. It is a 5-week course that prepares you to begin administering educational therapy to students.
What to Expect
- PART 1
-
Online Coursework: 4 Weeks
✔ Format: Asynchronous Learning Modules with weekly live instructor office hours, 1 virtual cohort meeting, occasional live practice sessions
✔ Weekly quizzes, assignments/papers & discussion board participation
- PART 2
-
Residency: 5 Days - Mandatory attendance for all 5 days.
Choose ONE option:
1. Virtual Residency
Meet via Zoom with your cohort on assigned residency days and times
OR
2. In-Person Residency
Travel to a training location
Monday–Friday
Three Ways to Take Level I
You may choose one of the following options. Upon passing, you are a certified NILD intern and may begin providing therapy

✔ No graduate credits and not enrolled in a master’s program
✔ 9 monthly post-course Job Embedded Coaching Sessions required

✔ Level I Course Materials Package: $415 + shipping

✔ Receive 3 graduate credits from selected university.
✔ 9 monthly post-course Job Embedded Coaching Sessions required
✔ Ideal if you may pursue a master’s degree in the future
