Change Your Mind, Change Your Outcome
Often we see the outcomes of executive function difficulties in our students and want to help, but we don’t always know where to start. There are many great books, great tools, even great intentions. Why, then, is change often so hard to achieve, let alone sustain? I would like to share what I have learned from my own experience working with students who struggle with executive function challenges along with many years studying this subject. I had to change my own mind about certain things in order to see the desired outcomes in my students. In this webinar, we will look at, what I am going to label, the belief cycle. Then as we review executive functions and some effective "tools of the trade", let’s see how an improved belief cycle can also improve those desired outcomes.
