Milt Uecker, Ed.D.
Former Chairman of NILD Board of Directors

Dr. Milt Uecker, Ed.D., is the Associate Dean of the College of Education at Columbia International University in Columbia, SC.. His teaching centers upon educational philosophy, early childhood education, and curriculum with an emphasis in mathematics. He is a national and international conference speaker and a contributor to the Christian Early Education and Christian School Education journals for the Association of Christian Schools International (ASCI). Dr. Uecker has been involved in Christian Early Education for over 40 years. He is also currently serving as Director of the Lowrie Center for Christian School Education at CIU. He served as the NILD board director for twelve years and now continues to serve in an advisory capacity. Throughout his career he has been an advocate for appropriate instructional practices within the classroom and developmentally appropriate curriculum for early literacy and math. He received his graduate training from the University of Texas and The University of Virginia. He and his wife Linda have three adult sons and eight grandchildren.
